Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Quality & Learning Development Nurse to drive improvements in clinical quality, professional practice and workforce capability across neuro services. You will lead learning, quality assurance and governance under the guidance of the Hospital/Nursing Home management and the Director of Learning & Development.

The role requires a current NMC PIN, UK work eligibility, and substantial experience in neurological and complex care, including tracheostomies and spinal

Qualifications

• Current NMC Pin registration (RN).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Experience in neurological care and complex care, including tracheostomies, spinal patients and complex patients.
• Knowledge/experience in Motor Neurone Disease, neurology or complex long‑term conditions; full training provided.
• Experience managing complex patients and using advanced clinical reasoning to assess, diagnose and implement care plans.
• Knowledge of development, clinical training and supervision of support workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and role modelling.
• Coach staff in evidence‑based neurorehabilitation practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement through direct observation of care.
• Lead local quality improvement initiatives, audits and action plans after incidents.
• Develop competency sign‑off and coaching of emerging clinical leaders.
• Support governance and regulatory compliance; contribute to risk assessments and policy implementation.
