Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development of resilience, emergency and weather response plans. You will guide processes, ensure best practice and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to minimise customer impact.

Based in Bristol or Exeter with hybrid working, the role requires driving and a clean licence. You will shape contingency plans, manage risk and contribute to service reliability across England's network.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and updating emergency response plans.
• Knowledge of Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (desirable).
• Strong communication and collaboration with authorities and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Develop processes and procedures aligned with best practice and insights.
• Liaise with regional operations and external stakeholders to minimise impact of events.
• Manage Network Resilience funding opportunities and prioritise funding by risk.
• Analyse effectiveness of existing plans and implement improvements.
• Provide advisory consultancy to minimise impact during emergencies.
