Job summary

Connect Plus Services (CPS) is seeking a Network Operations Supervisor to keep the M25 network operating safely, efficiently and reliably. You’ll lead planned and reactive operations across your allocated area, ensuring standards and safety for road users and colleagues.

You’ll manage Incident Support Unit, Emergency Response Team and Recovery Operatives (Denham only), coordinating resources and delivering daily briefings, RAMS and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
• Experience in highways maintenance operations or a similar operational environment.
• Proven experience leading teams and driving performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
• A full UK Driving Licence.

Job description

As a Network Operations Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping the M25 network operating safely, efficiently and reliably. You’ll lead the delivery of both planned and reactive operational activities across your allocated area, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards while supporting the safety of road users and colleagues alike.

Leading teams of Incident Support Unit (ISU) Operatives, Emergency Response Team (ERT) Operatives and Recovery Operatives (Denham only), you’ll create a positive, safety-first culture where people feel supported, engaged and equipped to succeed. You’ll oversee daily operations, coordinate resources, and ensure teams are prepared to respond effectively to the changing demands of one of Europe's busiest motorway networks.

You’ll also play an important role in network inspections, incident response and continuous improvement activities, including acting as Bronze Command during operational incidents.

What You’ll Be Doing

Network Operations Supervision

• Lead and support ISU, ERT and Recovery teams across your allocated area.

• Lead day-to-day people management activities, including performance management, absence management, overtime and annual leave planning.
• Support the development of team members through coaching, training and regular feedback.
• Maintain effective communication across teams and deliver regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement to enhance operational performance.
• Support sustainability objectives and promote environmentally responsible ways of working.
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and service delivery across the network.

Working Arrangements

• This role operates on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating equally between four day shifts and four night shifts.
