Job summary

Severn Trent Water is seeking a Network Logistics Technician to support the Network Construction Team during a major mains renewal programme. You will ensure the timely, safe, and compliant delivery of plant, equipment and materials onsite, with stock management and safe operation of lifting equipment.

The role requires a 42-hour week, Monday to Friday, and a UK driving license, with experience in utilities logistics and the ability to liaise with stakeholders while upholding safety and service

Qualifications

• For this role the right candidate will have experience in a logistic role, working on Mains Renewal schemes and /or an NCO Qualification and come from a utilities background.
• You’ll also have excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder skills.
• With the ability to make prompt, clear decisions, work in a high-pressure environment and able to multitask.
• Additionally, you’ll be required for onsite construction work, know-how to carry out successful transportation and delivery of materials and equipment and be accountable for safety of site, operatives, customers, public, environment.
• As travel is required, you’ll also have to hold a full U.K driving license.

Responsibilities

• Order and deliver plant, specialist tools and equipment as required and chlorination and delivery of coiled pipe.
• Carry out daily and ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth Warehouse operation, including operation of heavy lifting equipment and stock control data entry.
• Liaise with a variety of stakeholders and support Construction Teams while maintaining site safety and customer service.
