Job summary

Severn Trent Water is recruiting a Network Construction Operative to deliver mains renewal on a local site in the Midlands. You will work within a six-person crew to excavate, install, test and commission new mains and assets, ensuring safe, reliable water supply with minimal disruption to customers.

This role requires a 42-hour week (Mon-Fri, 7:30–16:30, Fri 16:00 finish). A full driving licence and National Water Hygiene/NRSWA are preferred, with strong communication and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• National Water Hygiene and NRSWA qualifications preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Excavate, install, test and commission new mains and assets onsite.
• Deliver mains renewal construction safely with minimal disruption to customers.
• Maintain safe access and coordinate with customers; assist asbestos handling as required.
• Work as part of a 6-person team on a single site within the Midlands.
