Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Network Engineer to work on-site in London on a contract basis, two days per week, for an IT company in the insurance sector.

You will design secure network zones, enforce firewall rules, analyze traffic, and collaborate with security teams to respond to incidents. The role focuses on enterprise networking, SDN, and risk mitigation, with a day rate of £500–£520 via Umbrella inside IR35.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing and switching, firewall technologies, network segmentation and security principles.
• Experience mapping application dependencies and topology.
• Experience producing network designs (low-level and high-level).
• Experience planning enterprise infrastructure changes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Network Engineer wanted - London 2 days per week. This contract role will be working for a large IT company whilst being based on their clients site who are within the insurance sector.

Day rate of £500 - £520 per day via Umbrella inside IR35

Summary

• Design: Create secure network zones using VLANs, subnets, and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Policy Enforcement: Write and manage firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), and micro-segmentation policies.
• Traffic Analysis: Monitor data flow to ensure security policies do not break business applications.
• Risk Mitigation: Isolate critical assets, IoT devices, and legacy systems from the main corporate network.
• Collaboration: Work with security teams to respond to incidents and audit network boundaries.

Essential

• 5+ years' experience in enterprise network engineering.
