Job summary

Digital Delivered is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support assessment, improvement and modernisation of network infrastructure across multiple sites in the Midlands. The role is hands-on, moving between discovery, design, troubleshooting and implementation while collaborating with local and central technology teams.

You will work on network discovery, deployment, and documentation, ensuring changes are delivered with minimal business disruption.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in complex, multi-site networks.
• Ability to assess an existing estate and work hands-on with technology.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki switching, wireless and dashboard management.
• Proven skills in LAN/WLAN architecture, troubleshooting and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess LAN, WLAN and WAN environments across multiple locations.
• Review network architecture, configurations, connectivity and resilience.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and supportability.
• Support network redesigns and upgrades.
• Deploy and troubleshoot switching and wireless infrastructure.
• Support firewall deployment, routing and failover validation.
• Map network traffic and dependencies within environments.
• Produce network diagrams and implementation documentation.
• Deliver changes with controlled migration, testing and rollback plans.

Job description

We are looking to speak with experienced Network Engineers for a project supporting the assessment, improvement and modernisation of network infrastructure across a number of operational sites. Midlands location, 3 -4 days on site, travel and accommodation expenses all paid for.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable moving between network discovery, technical design, troubleshooting and implementation. You will be working with both local and central technology teams to understand the existing environment, identify weaknesses and deliver practical improvements without disrupting business operations.

What you'll be doing

• Assessing existing LAN, WLAN and WAN environments across multiple locations
• Reviewing network architecture, configurations, connectivity and resilience
• Identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability and supportability
• Supporting network redesigns and infrastructure upgrades
• Deploying and troubleshooting switching and wireless infrastructure
• Supporting firewall deployment, routing and failover validation
• Working through WAN and carrier connectivity changes
• Identifying application, voice and legacy-network dependencies before changes are made
• Mapping network traffic and dependencies within operational environments
• Producing clear network diagrams, configuration records and implementation documentation
• Delivering changes through controlled migration, testing and rollback plans
• Supporting physical infrastructure activities within comms rooms and datacentre environments

What we're looking for

You should bring strong practical experience in complex, multi-site network environments and be equally comfortable assessing an existing estate and getting hands-on with the technology.
