Job summary

SSEN Transmission is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join the Network Development Team in Scotland. You will coordinate new connection activities, whole-system planning and network resilience, with 50% of the week in the office in Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.

The role requires an engineering/technical background and strong stakeholder engagement to support multi-disciplinary delivery. You will develop technical designs, cost proposals and schedules, ensure CDM compliance, and help shape

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical qualification with interest in problem solving.
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects through early stage optioneering and feasibility work is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new connection activities, whole-system planning and network resilience.
• Support management and development of schemes across the SHET area and interfaces with other Transmission Operators.
• Develop technical designs, programmes with Outage implications and cost proposals in CDM-compliant projects.
• Contribute to network option development, including conceptual design, cost and programme.
• Assist Transmission System Planning Engineers with feasibility studies and conceptual design activities.
