Job summary

SSE is hiring a Connections Project Manager for SSEN Distribution in Scotland, with a mix of depot and field work across the Tayside/Angus area. You will lead project delivery, coordinate with design and engineering, planning, and environmental teams, and ensure safety and governance standards are met.

The role emphasises customer and partner collaboration, strict time and cost control, and driving profitability.

Qualifications

Experience in leading teams and managing customers to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
Track record of meeting timelines, quality and cost targets with clear progress reporting.
Experience developing project programmes, cost plans and resource schedules for practical, cost-effective solutions.
Working knowledge of regulated environments, ideally electricity/utilities; LV/11kV/33kV experience is a plus.
Experience delivering projects in line with governance and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe project delivery to programme, cost and quality using robust systems.
Lead delivery of key project outputs, coordinating with design, engineering, planning, environmental and consents teams.
Provide support to customers and delivery partners to keep projects progressing efficiently, including site meetings.
Drive profitability and value by delivering excellent customer service and collaborating with partners.
Apply Safety Management Systems and CDM governance to all relevant projects.
