The Network Development Manager (NDM) for FSC Latin America leads the operational backbone that enables the region's bold ambitions in sustainable forest management and market development. This role combines financial, project management, capacity-building, and data intelligence functions to ensure FSC goals translate into measurable outcomes on the ground.
The NDM oversees multiple projects across countries, coordinating technical and financial reporting, monitoring FSC compliance, and streamlining operational processes to expand FSC-certified areas.
The role involves close collaboration with Network Partners and the Regional Director, requiring a systems-thinking approach, stakeholder engagement, and increased visibility of opportunities.
Professional Experience:
• Over 7 years in regional coordination, sustainability, or environmental certification organizations
• Proven success in project design, implementation, and evaluation for donor-funded and private programs
• Experience managing reporting systems, logistics, and operational support across diverse regions
• Skilled in engaging with governments, donors, key accounts, and Indigenous Peoples
Behavioral assets:
• Ability to navigate complexity and make principled decisions amidst uncertainty
• Fosters mutual respect through active listening, valuing diverse viewpoints, and building inclusive relationships
• Collaborative mindset, seeking shared solutions and leveraging resources for sustainable outcomes
Academic Background:
• Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, Development Studies, Administration, or related fields
• Additional training in project management, data visualization (e.g., Power BI), and operational systems
Languages and geographic exposure:
• Fluent in Spanish and English, with Portuguese familiarity preferred
• Extensive experience working across Latin America and intercultural environments
Location: Latin America (Remote)
Working Hours: Full-time – 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 2-year contract with potential for extension.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
