Job summary

SSE plc in Scotland seeks a Land Consents Manager to secure and manage land rights for underground cables, overhead lines, and ground-mounted equipment across public and private land. You will drive consent strategies and risk management to enable timely project delivery in support of our net-zero goals.

You will lead negotiations for wayleaves and leases, oversee compensation claims, and build strong relationships with landowners, authorities and agents.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience securing wayleaves, servitudes, land purchases, lease agreements and access permissions.
• Experience of working with landowners, tenants, local authorities and government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement consent strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Proactively manage risks to safeguard the electricity network.
• Lead negotiations and secure wayleaves, servitudes, land acquisitions and access permissions.
• Oversee end-to-end management of compensation claims.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
