Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Land Consents Manager to secure, manage and maintain land rights for critical infrastructure projects across our network. You will work with landowners and public bodies to ensure timely delivery while building strong stakeholder relationships.

The role emphasizes negotiating voluntary and statutory consents, managing risk, and coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to support a cleaner energy transition.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience securing both voluntary and statutory consents for capital projects.
• Experience working with landowners, tenants, agents, local authorities and national agencies.
• Knowledge of relevant consents and environmental legislation.
• A full, current driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Devising land consents strategies to deliver projects on time, within budget and sustainably, while managing risk to network security.
• Managing preparation, negotiation and successful acquisition of wayleaves, easements, land purchases, lease agreements and access permissions.
• Assessing, negotiating and settlement of compensation claims.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop positive working relationships.
