Job summary

BCH is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the Neighbourhoods Team to supervise the housing management service and lead a small team. You will recruit, train and manage staff, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with housing legislation.

You will guide day-to-day operations, handle complex tenancy issues, and drive improvements in performance indicators while collaborating with the Neighbourhoods Manager and external agencies.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs (Maths and English at grade C/4 or above) and post-secondary education.
• Supervisory or management qualification is essential.
• Experience in housing management, preferably in social housing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day delivery of the housing management service.
• Recruit, train and develop staff; manage attendance and performance.
• Lead Neighbourhood Officers; drive improvements and KPI outcomes.
• Provide housing management advice and use the housing system effectively.
• Communicate with internal colleagues and external agencies; handle complaints.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation and safeguarding policies.
