Job summary

Wheatley Homes Glasgow is seeking a Neighbourhood Void Operative to perform efficient and safe clearance of void properties and ensure high standards of cleanliness before new customers move in. The role includes clearing gardens and communal spaces to the best possible standard.

The ideal candidate will have experience with house clearances, cleaning, and gardening equipment; driving larger vehicles is desirable.

Job title: Neighbourhood Void Operative(s)

Salary: SCP 16 - 18 (£32,760 - £34,726) per annum, plus a day shift allowance of £853.84 per annum

Contract: Permanent and Temporary

Work pattern: 42 hours per week, worked on a 4 days on, 4 days off pattern.

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

It is essential that candidates hold a full UK driving license and comply with a satisfactory Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check.

About the role

The role has a focus on efficient and safe clearance of void properties ensuring all properties are cleaned to a high standard prior to entry for new customers. Another key responsibility of this role is ensuring that gardens and communal spaces associated with void properties are cleared and cleaned to the highest possible standard

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of house clearances and cleaning as well as experience of using gardening equipment including powered tools is desired. You will have the ability to work on an individual basis or as part of a team. Experience of driving larger vehicles is desirable.
