AtkinsRéalis is expanding its defence maritime safety capability and seeking a maritime safety engineer to support safety engineering across naval platforms and systems. You will contribute to safety evidence and risk management throughout procurement, design, integration and in‑service support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operators, suppliers and assurance authorities, with opportunities to work across naval platforms and the wider Defence Maritime Regulations framework.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safety engineering or safety assurance in a defence maritime environment.
• Knowledge of surface ships, submarines, maritime engineering or platform systems.
• Ability to analyse technical information and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to safety engineering and assurance across procurement, design, integration and in‑service support.
• Develop and maintain hazard logs and safety case documentation.
• Produce clear technical reports and safety information for stakeholders.
