Job summary
AtkinsRéalis Group in Manchester is seeking a land safety engineer to support safety engineering and assurance across defence land systems, shaping safety arguments with evidence for delivery teams and maintainers.
You will develop safety cases, assess platform integration and in-service changes, and collaborate with delivery teams, lead users, platform integrators and suppliers to enable safe, compliant capabilities.
Qualifications
- Relevant defence land safety experience across safety cases, assessments, and hazard logs.
- Knowledge of military vehicles, land equipment and defence acquisition.
- Ability to analyse technical information and communicate clearly.
- Collaborative, curious and delivery-focused approach.
- Degree or equivalent in defence/engineering field.
Responsibilities
- Support safety engineering across acquisition, integration and operation of defence land systems.
- Develop and maintain safety cases and safety management plans.
- Create and maintain hazard logs and risk assessments.
- Derive safety requirements and gather supporting evidence through projects.
- Produce technical reports to inform equipment decisions and safety actions.
