Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced maritime safety engineer to lead assurance across naval platforms and systems, joining our defence maritime safety capability in the UK. You will shape technical strategies, integrate evidence, and advise clients through procurement, acceptance and in-service support.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering safety engineering or safety assurance in a defence maritime environment.
• Strong experience with surface ships, submarines, naval systems or platform integration.
• Experience leading safety cases, hazard-management and safety assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead maritime safety work packages across ships, submarines and naval systems.
• Develop and assure Safety and Environmental Cases, Safety Case Reports and risk assessments.
• Advise clients and stakeholders on regulatory compliance and proportionate assurance.
