Job summary

Marlborough Communications Limited (MCL) is seeking an experienced Platform Support & Installation Engineer to support complex RF and electronic systems on UK maritime platforms. The role covers installation, integration, testing, fault diagnosis, repair and in-service support, with deployments across UK naval sites as required.

The successful candidate will deputise for the project technical lead, travel for deployments of 1–10 days, and work across Linux-based environments, supporting both

Qualifications

• Experience in defence engineering, naval or maritime environments.
• Strong knowledge of RF and radio communications equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and test specifications.
• Experience with fault diagnosis and repair of complex electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for CESM and RF equipment on UK naval platforms.
• Undertake installation, integration, testing, and acceptance support for equipment and cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve faults through repair, modification or escalation.
• Plan and coordinate deployments, including resources and reporting.
• Deputise for the project technical lead when required and coordinate technical activities.
