Job summary

Techniche Global Ltd seeks a Communications Maintenance Engineer to maintain and fault-find on naval and defence communications equipment. You will configure GFX assets for trials, ensure safe operation, and work closely with Combat Systems Engineers and customers on-site in Portsmouth.

Candidates with hands-on experience in radio, RF or military communications and UK defence sector exposure are encouraged to apply. UK nationals with five years in the UK are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining communications equipment.
• Experience with radio, RF or military communications systems.
• Willingness to learn and work in Defence sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain GFX equipment and infrastructure per RFMS specs for trials.
• Perform regular maintenance per UMMS, BRs, JSPs and OEM guidelines.
• Ensure GFX equipment safety and readiness for daily trials and bookings.
• Provide on-site SME support to Combat Systems Engineers, teams and customers during trials.
• Conduct fault-finding and reconfiguration; support monthly System Operator Checks.
• Register and track GFX defects on RFMS; keep Operations Team informed of progress.
