Job summary
Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Communications Maintenance Engineer – Maritime Defence in Portsmouth. You will maintain, configure, test and troubleshoot complex communications systems to ensure readiness and safety for critical maritime operations.
The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and supporting Harbour Acceptance Trials to ensure performance and compliance. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent, plus hands-on experience in
Qualifications
- Essential engineering qualifications and sector experience are required.
- Experience with defence/maritime communications systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on communications equipment and infrastructure.
- Configure equipment for trials and operations.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
- Ensure safety, quality and compliance with maintenance procedures.
- Support Harbour Acceptance Trials and other testing activities.
- Document maintenance actions and defect resolutions.
