Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) is recruiting a Training Programme Director to lead national postgraduate training programmes and coordinate with trainees, trainers and external bodies across Scotland.

The role is 1 PA per week (4 hours) on a fixed term for 36 months, with a remote-friendly, flexible approach to work within the UK. Applications close 18 October 2026; employer SLA support is required before interview.

Qualifications

• A broad understanding of the GMC and Scotland Deanery quality frameworks together with practical experience of medical education and training in the NHS is required.
• Applicants must be qualified to MB ChB or equivalent and included in the GMC’s General and Specialist Registers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the national training programmes of the Scotland Deanery and contribute to wider operational and strategic work.
• Interact with trainees, trainers and external bodies to support postgraduate education across Scotland.
