Job summary

Ministry of Justice’s HM Courts & Tribunals Service in the UK seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead service delivery across National Services, including Family services in Bury St Edmunds. You will champion change, nurture talent, and translate national priorities into actionable local plans while maintaining high-quality, customer-focused services.

The role requires strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering results in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a challenging operations or management role with the ability to adapt and learn at pace.
• Demonstrable people management and coaching skills to drive performance in a service-focused environment.
• Strong leadership, capable of managing resources and guiding teams through change.
• Ability to build relationships and manage key stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication with the ability to foster collaboration and inclusion.
• Confidence to make independent decisions and solve complex problems.
• Ability to collaborate across the business to deliver local priorities and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead service delivery with clear direction, driving productivity and quality across Family services in National Services.
• Translate national priorities into local plans and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Support development plans, succession planning and performance objectives.
• Foster an inclusive leadership culture and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve targets.
• Represent HMCTS MoJ in a way that builds trust and accountability across teams.
