Alexander James Recruiting is working with a global manufacturer of material handling equipment to recruit a National Service Manager. The role oversees the UK service department and a team of Regional Service Managers and Forklift Engineers, driving service levels and KPI delivery.

The ideal candidate will have national service leadership experience in material handling or forklift sectors, with strong customer account management and the ability to travel nationwide from a UK base.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a national service department within the Material Handling industry.
• Experience running service functions in forklift operations with regional or national scope is acceptable.
• Ability to manage large customer accounts and work autonomously.
• UK-based with willingness to travel nationally and hold a full, clean driver's license.

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established, global manufacturer of material handling equipment, looking to recruit a new National Service Manager to manage their service accounts nationally. Responsibilities

• Supporting and developing the service department across the UK
• Managing the team of Regional Service Managers and Forklift Engineers across the UK
• Maintaining and developing relationships with customers to ensure high levels of service and retention
• Overseeing the department's budgets and delivering on service team KPIs
• Working closely with the Service Director, Managing Director and other senior members of staff across the business
• Undertaking any additional responsibilities to support the business's objectives

Requirements

The company are ideally looking for an individual with experience of managing a service department on a national basis within the Material Handling industry. The company will also be open to candidates with backgrounds running the service function of a forklift company that only operates regionally or someone who runs a large region for a national provider looking to stepup. It is vital that you have had exposure to managing large customer accounts and are able to work autonomously. In terms of location, you will need to be based in the UK and the company have a preference for candidates based in the North of the UK however, candidate based anywhere in the UK will be considered but you must be ready to travel nationally. You will need to hold a full, clean driver's license.
