Job summary

Vantage Recruitment is recruiting for a National Business Development Manager to cover the UK, with remote work and hybrid access to Heathrow head office. The role offers £60,000 to £70,000 basic plus car or allowance and commission, with £80,000 OTE.

You will win national air and sea freight business, manage the full sales cycle, and build lasting customer relationships across the country, travelling as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding sales and winning new business.
• Strong understanding of international air and sea freight.
• Confident in opening doors with decision-makers and closing deals.
• Disciplined pipeline management with focus on targets.

Responsibilities

• Own the sales process from first contact to securing profitable business.
• Win new air and sea freight import/export business through proactive outreach and visits.
• Understand customer volumes, trade lanes and supply chain challenges; present tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with pricing, operations and overseas colleagues on quotations and tenders.
• Negotiate commercially sound rates and terms to protect gross profit.
• Grow existing accounts by expanding services and shipment opportunities.
• Maintain a clear sales pipeline and coordinate onboarding with Heathrow operations.
