Job summary

Jarmy Recruitment is seeking an experienced National Business Development Manager for international freight forwarding. The role combines hybrid/field work with national travel, based near Heathrow with UK coverage.

You will identify, develop and secure opportunities across the UK, building relationships and tailoring freight solutions for customers while driving a strong sales pipeline and collaborating with regional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or sales experience within international freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of air and/or sea freight, import/export processes and international logistics.
• Track record of generating leads, winning new customers and growing profitable business.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated with the confidence to work independently.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage a national sales territory.
• Willingness to travel nationally and access Heathrow-area office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new UK opportunities in international freight forwarding.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
• Build long-term commercial relationships with new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with regional branches and operations to grow opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and tailor freight solutions accordingly.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contribute to sales strategies.
• Monitor performance, maintain records and report results.
• Represent the business professionally at meetings and industry events.
