Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment (Halesowen Commercial / Perm) is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for a nationwide role covering specialist construction divisions. You will drive new business across the UK, manage key client relationships and promote the full range of products and services.

The role requires willingness to travel across the UK, strong sales acumen, and a proven track record in construction sales.

Qualifications

• Previous Business Development Manager experience essential.
• Construction or building industry experience highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong Maths and English skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• IT literate with good general computer knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a national business plan to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Manage existing client relationships while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Promote the company's full range of products and services.
• Deliver sales and technical CPD presentations to clients, surveyors and key decision-makers.
• Carry out site surveys and provide technical advice and guidance.
• Prepare proposal specifications for prospective projects with branch teams.
• Liaise with Branch Managers and senior management regarding opportunities and margin potential.
• Maintain quotation, specification tracking and communication systems.
• Work with supplier representatives to maximise opportunities.
• Ensure customer service standards are exceeded through collaboration with branches and head office.
