Job summary

BNY in Manchester seeks a Manager, Mutual Funds to lead and develop the Pershing EMEA team. You will manage fund-related activities, oversee openings, AML due diligence, trading, and settlements, and drive process improvements within a regulated financial services environment.

You will recruit and mentor staff, ensure timely delivery, maintain MI and KRIs/KPIs, and coordinate testing and software releases while aligning with Records Management and Business Continuity policies.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading/managing teams.
• Direct experience with employee relations activities.
• Detailed and sustained operational experience.
• Strong systems skills; able to define MI and manipulate data (Excel).
• Nice to have: continuous improvement, robotics, process efficiency.
• Nice to have: Funds experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage an operational team handling fund-related activities; mix of hands-on and strategic planning.
• Oversee responsibilities including Fund Manager Account Openings, AML due diligence, share class conversions, trading and settlements.
• Develop policies and processes to meet standards; implement improvements for stakeholder experience.
• Ensure timely, accurate completion of team tasks; escalate material issues.
• Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff; foster teamwork and professional growth.
• Maintain client service standards and monitor KRIs/KPIs; ensure regulatory compliance is minimized.
• Coordinate testing; ensure test scripts reflect live processes and support software releases.
• Ensure Records Management and Business Continuity compliance across the team.
• Lead cross-functional projects (onboarding, client presentations) and allocate resources to meet schedules.
• Proactively pursue continuous improvement and adapt to new requirements.
