Music Teacher – Secondary (Middlesbrough)

Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Music Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong music subject knowledge.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Music lessons, including practical and theory-based learning.
• Provide effective classroom cover when required.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive, creative learning environment.
• Support students in developing performance, composition, and listening skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Music (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
• Confident teaching Music across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire creativity.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
