Job summary

University of Oxford invites applications for a Visitor Experience Assistant. This part-time role supports a warm, inclusive visitor journey, engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds and helping visitors enjoy the museum's collections and activities.

You will work on a daily rota, including weekends and Tuesdays, with training and opportunities to contribute to fundraising and public programmes. A strong customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors to the museum, ensuring a warm and inclusive experience.
• Engage visitors with the collections and activities to enrich their visit.
• Support donor engagement, Gift Aid, and memberships where appropriate.
• Assist with safety, security procedures and emergency evacuations as required.
