Job summary

Biffa Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead tender opportunities and win new contracts within Municipal Collections. You’ll develop pricing, proposals and compelling written submissions, and present to clients while collaborating across the business to drive growth.

You will identify new opportunities, monitor market and legislative developments, and help deliver ambitious growth plans.

Qualifications

Experience in tendering, bidding, pricing or business development with high‑quality submissions.
Ability to develop pricing, proposals and solutions meeting customer needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication with client-facing confidence.
Highly organised with strong project management and multi‑priority handling.
Collaborative teammate capable of cross‑functional engagement across stakeholders.
Awareness of waste/municipal services industry and legal developments.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage tender opportunities from development to submission, including pricing and proposals.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across Municipal Collections.
Build relationships with clients, consultants, partners, subcontractors and internal teams.
Develop compelling bid content and presentations to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Stay ahead of industry developments, legislation and emerging technologies.
Provide commercial and contractual support to regional teams for growth.
