Weetabix is hiring a Shift Engineer in Deeside to join the Engineering team. You will provide electrical and mechanical support across our manufacturing operation, maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventive maintenance to maximise plant reliability and efficiency.

You will work a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (days & nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am), collaborating with Production and Operations to minimise downtime and ensure food safety and quality

Qualificações

• Qualified engineer with HNC and/or NVQ Level 3 in electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled discipline.
• Hands-on experience with automated machinery in continuous manufacturing, ideally food manufacturing.
• Experience with integrated systems and packaging/palletisation knowledge.
• Knowledge of AC and/or servo drive systems and a safety-focused mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned predictive and reactive maintenance of process, packaging and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform workshop repairs and fabricate components as required.
• Retrain in new methodologies and technologies to meet business needs.
• Train others on plant, buildings and auxiliary equipment used on site.
• Respond to machine and auxiliary failures and troubleshoot faults.
