Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Barnsley is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team. You will respond to breakdowns, carry out repairs and drive improvements to reduce downtime and waste.

The role offers a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (days and nights) and permanent full-time employment. You will work to GMP, H&S and PUWER standards, maintain CMMS records, and support maintenance colleagues and operators across the site.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience performing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPMs).
• Ability to work to GMP, H&S, PUWER and HASAW regulations.
• Experience with CMMS/maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and meet production targets.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste and optimise labour.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks to required standards and maintain CMMS records.
• Support QA/compliance by following QMS procedures and maintaining high engineering standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to operators and contractors.
