Job summary

Weetabix in Deeside is seeking an Engineering Shift Supervisor to lead, coordinate and supervise all engineering activities on the assigned shift within a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will provide technical leadership to Shift Engineers, prioritise workload, and ensure safe maintenance across plant and packaging machinery while driving reliability and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer to HNC and/or NVQ Level 3 (electrical, mechanical or multiskilled).
• Experience supervising or directing engineering work is highly desirable.
• Strong multiskilled engineering experience in automated, continuous manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift Engineers with task allocation and performance on the shift.
• Coordinate maintenance workload in real time to minimise downtime.
• Provide coaching and hands-on support to engineers on shift.
• Lead shift handovers and communicate ongoing issues and priorities.
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability and safety compliance.
