Job summary

Fox's Burton's Companies operates the Livingston bakery and is seeking a Shift Engineering Technician to improve and optimise operational performance. You will maintain compliance with standards and respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring the site runs at target OEE levels.

The role requires a recognised engineering qualification and prior maintenance experience in manufacturing, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., Modern Apprenticeship/SVQ Level 3).
• Previous maintenance experience in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; able to interpret engineering diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid response to machine breakdowns and change-overs to meet OEE targets.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and suggest improvements to maintenance schedules.
• Contribute to improvement projects to increase efficiencies and yields and reduce costs.
