Job summary

BJF Group in the United Kingdom is looking for a Multiskilled Operative to support its Project Services division. You will manage reactive calls, perform first fixes where possible, and carry out planned maintenance across domestic, commercial and industrial buildings.

You will scope tasks and materials, maintain accurate records, and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard. The role offers a competitive salary and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works within KPI targets.
• Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial fabric engineering.
• Proactive, positive, solution-based attitude.
• Repairs following electrical safety and minor works where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive calls, perform first fix where possible, and scope quotes for repairs when first fix isn't possible.
• Carry out planned building/fabric maintenance tasks and keep auditable records of works.
• Undertake fabric repairs and upgrades to existing buildings both inside and outside.
• Cover masonry, carpentry, ironmongery, roof repairs, and kitchen fitting as required.
• Scope tasks and materials to achieve the required results and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain good decorative order and comply with health and safety criteria.

Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where you can help support the Project Services division as a Multiskilled Operative.

Position

Day to day responsibilities to include:

• Respond to reactive calls, carry out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible, ensuring minimum downtime.
• Carry out all planned building / fabric maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
• To undertake small to large fabric repairs and upgrades to existing buildings both internally and externally.
• Covering, where possible, all aspects ranging from (but not limited to) masonry, carpentry, ironmongery, roof repairs, kitchen fitting
• To scope both the task and material requirements to achieve the required results.
• To ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to given specification and ensure timely completion.
• Working within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
• Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
• Client facing, therefore maintaining high standards of customer care
• Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI's
• Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial fabric engineering
• A proactive, positive, solution-based attitude
• Repairs following a Periodic Electrical Installation Condition Report. Including minor works certification
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI's
