Job summary

Yolk Recruitment are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing client in Wales. Starting salary £42,000 with a structured progression to £50,000 as you achieve key engineering milestones and demonstrate competency.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault find on PLCs, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining records and adhering to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLCs, control panels, drives and inverters.
• Hands-on, proactive maintenance engineering mindset.
• Good problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off rotating days/nights pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across site machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment, inverters, drives and control panels.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring accurate engineering records are maintained.
• Working in line with all health & safety procedures and engineering best practice.
• Contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the manufacturing operation.
