Job summary
Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturing business in South Wales to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a 2-shift pattern. The role offers a robust salary of £49,000 and a busy production environment focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
You will carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose faults on PLC-controlled equipment, work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve site
Qualifications
- Time-served maintenance engineer with electrical bias or strong multi-skilled capability.
- Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, automotive, FMCG, or similar environments.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with drives, inverters, control systems, and PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment.
- Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and production performance.
- Complete maintenance records and documentation.
