Job summary

An established manufacturing business in Oswestry is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve production reliability within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will carry out PPM, respond to breakdowns, work on conveyors, motors, PLC fault finding, and support upgrades and projects, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and a salary up to £50,000.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer role.
• Background within FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Packaging, or similar fast-paced production.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, valves and wrapping machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Assist with PLC fault finding and basic modifications.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades and engineering projects.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise performance.
