Job summary

Mach Recruitment Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for an FMCG food manufacturer in the Oldham area. You will respond to breakdowns, carry out preventative maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

The role involves a mix of day and night shifts, 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, with a starting salary of £52K+. Training and development opportunities are provided along with a company pension.

Qualifications

• Understanding and working knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Electrical engineering bias.
• 17th edition, ideally 18th edition.
• Must have experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance; perform preventative maintenance.
• Install machinery and undertake project work.
• Fault find on electrical equipment and machinery.
• Adhere to health, safety and food safety procedures.
• Maintain documentation; log breakdowns and servicing work.
• Support production; liaise with all departments.
• Actively participate in CI projects.
• Maintain robust PM/PPM systems.
• Assist with machinery installations and training to develop skills.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)

Due to ongoing growth and investment my client, a successful food manufacturer based in the Oldham area are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy engineering team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Supervisor you will be responsible for responding to breakdowns/reactive, and ongoing preventative maintenance of all machinery on site.

In addition, you will be involved continuous improvement projects.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

• Installation of machinery and project work Fault find electrical equipment and machinery
• Adhere to health and safety and food safety procedures
• Maintain documentation, log all breakdowns and servicing work carried out
• Support all production, work as a team, liaise with all departments
• Actively take part in CI projects
• Maintain robust PPM Systems
• Take part in machinery installations, training to develop skills
