Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd., recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Atherton, England, is seeking an experienced professional to join a well-established manufacturing site. The role covers 4 on 4 off days and nights, delivering proactive maintenance across site equipment to minimise downtime and boost reliability.

You're expected to work with engineering colleagues and site stakeholders, uphold safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Time-served maintenance engineer with electrical or mechanical background.
• Experience in Food/FMCG, packaging, manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
• Proactive, team-oriented approach to engineering and problem solving.
• Able to work independently and make sound engineering decisions when required.
• Keen to develop technically and take advantage of further training opportunities.
• Strong commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out both planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across site equipment.
• Support production by minimising downtime and improving overall equipment reliability and performance.
• Work collaboratively with engineering colleagues, production teams and site stakeholders.
• Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety and ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance machinery efficiency.
• Provide maintenance support on mixers, valves, reactors and other mechanical process equipment.
• Contribute to engineering projects, upgrades and site improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records and documentation.
