Job summary

CV Technical is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Bourne, Lincolnshire facility on a Sunday to Thursday back-shift (6:00pm–3:00am). You will maintain production machinery, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role offers a competitive salary (£43,650) plus overtime and benefits, with a clear path for development within a well-invested company.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering (Essential).
• Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics and packaging machinery.
• PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
• 18th Edition qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and improve machine performance.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards.

Are you a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business?

Due to continued investment and growth, we are looking for an experienced engineer to strengthen our engineering team at our Bourne facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in maintaining production performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all production machinery and site services operate efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Fault finding on a range of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve machine performance.
• Ensuring all engineering activities are completed in line with health and safety standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Essential).
• Previous experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
• Experience working with motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics and packaging machinery.
