Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for an established food manufacturing site near Boston, Lincolnshire. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production lines, diagnose faults, and contribute to reliability and safety improvements.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off schedule with days and nights, and offers overtime, training, and progression opportunities within a growing FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing and handling production machinery.
• Multi skilled capability across electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Able to commute to Old Leake, Boston or nearby locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on FMCG equipment.

Job Description

On offer is the opportunity to join a long-established food manufacturing business based near Boston, Lincolnshire. The company has invested heavily into its operations and infrastructure and is now looking for engineers to help support continued growth, modernisation, and improvement across the site. In this varied role, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment, diagnose breakdowns, minimise downtime, complete maintenance records, and work closely with production teams to improve reliability, safety, and equipment performance. This role would suit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience who is looking for a 4 on 4 off shift role, ongoing training, overtime, and the chance to develop within a growing FMCG manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Planned and reactive maintenance across FMCG production machinery and site equipment
• Fault finding, breakdown repairs, PPM
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights, 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am

The Person:

• Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Maintenance Engineer, or similar
• Experience with FMCG, manufacturing, production machinery, or packaging equipment
• Commutable to Old Leake, Boston
