Job summary

Position 1 Recruitment is working with a successful food manufacturing business in North Norwich seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer. This permanent, days-only role offers a salary up to £40K and a first step into a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a real career path.

You will join an engineering team, supporting maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of production equipment, with development opportunities and mentoring from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Recently completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (HNC/HND).
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Interest in FMCG, food manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support production to reduce downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Work safely and follow company procedures.
• Develop technical skills across modern manufacturing equipment.

Multi- skilled engineer DAYS ONLY / Permanent / Norfolk / salary up to £40K per annum

Position 1 Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of our client, a successful food manufacturing business based in North Norwich, who are looking for a motivated and ambitious Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified engineer looking to take their first step into a fast-paced manufacturing environment and build a long-term career.

The Role

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will support the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of production equipment, including:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Supporting production and reducing downtime
• Continuous improvement projects
• Working safely and following company procedures
• Developing your technical skills across modern manufacturing equipment

About You (Multi- skilled engineer)

• Recently completed an Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent
• A good understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
• A genuine interest in FMCG, food manufacturing or industrial engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
