Job summary

GXO Logistics at Avonmouth is seeking a Multiskilled Automation Engineer to maintain and improve a highly automated operation featuring roller conveyor networks and Intralox sorter technology. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to improvements to maximise reliability and uptime, working Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00.

Qualifications

NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
18th Edition Electrical certification required.
IOSH Managing Safely required.
Experience in automated engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance to keep automated equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise downtime.
Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation using the site CMMS system.
Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering initiatives across the site.
