Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Crick is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our night engineering team. You will maintain high‑tech warehouse automation, diagnose faults and drive reliability improvements in a fast‑paced fashion distribution centre.

The role requires carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on automated equipment, recording activities, and ensuring safety standards. The Panama shift pattern runs 19:00–07:00 with a salary up to £54,000 per year and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with automation, conveyors, sortation systems or material handling equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment.
• A proactive approach to problem solving with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Complete root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
