Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in the Bath area is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Avonmouth site supporting the Amazon contract.

You will maintain a highly automated operation with roller conveyors and Intralox sorter tech, split ~60% mechanical and ~40% electrical, across maintenance and improvement projects. The role is full-time with hours 09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including pension, dental insurance, life assurance and an employee assistance

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
18th Edition Electrical certification.
IOSH Managing Safely certification.
Experience in automated engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance to keep automated equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise downtime.
Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation using the site CMMS system.
Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering initiatives across the site.
