Centre for Sustainable Energy seeks a proactive Energy Connector to engage multilingual communities in Bristol. You will co-design and deliver culturally appropriate, tech-enabled energy awareness and advice, supporting residents to understand energy use, reduce costs, and access available support.

You will build relationships, run workshops, and develop engaging content across digital channels, while completing safeguarding obligations and the Level 3 Energy Awareness qualification.

Qualificações

• Good written and spoken English and Arabic, or another language spoken by a community within Bristol.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multilingual communities, interpreting and translating information.
• Ability to use digital communication tools and social media platforms to create, share or promote information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of inclusive, accessible and culturally responsive communication.
• Ability to organise tasks and manage time effectively, both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft packages including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Curiosity, creativity and a willingness to test new approaches to community engagement.
• A willingness to learn about energy issues and the challenges faced by households experiencing fuel poverty.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with residents and community groups across Bristol to engage multilingual communities.
• Support workshops and outreach activities to understand local needs and preferences.
• Co-create and deliver project activities and resources using community knowledge and creativity.
• Research and gather insights on challenges households face in accessing energy information.
• Design accessible communications campaigns to raise awareness of energy issues and available support.
• Develop and test content including short-form videos, audio messages, WhatsApp content, infographics and social media campaigns.
• Assist residents to access energy advice services, grants and support schemes.
• Explain key energy topics in clear, accessible language for the target audience.
• Participate in training and complete the Level 3 Energy Awareness qualification.
• Remain vigilant for safeguarding concerns during interactions with clients and report promptly.
