Job summary

HS2's Depots Engineering team is recruiting a Project Engineer to work across civil, mechanical, electrical and railway disciplines on the Calvert Infrastructure Maintenance Depot project in London. You will report to the Lead Project Engineer and coordinate between HS2 design teams and site delivery.

The role offers cradle-to-grave exposure over approximately 7 to 9 years, with opportunities to develop towards chartership.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of engineering experience.
• Background in civil, mechanical, electrical, buildings or railway engineering.
• Experience on multidisciplinary engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to review and understand technical information, not just manage documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A relevant engineering qualification.
• Interest in broadening technical experience and developing as a Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Lead Project Engineer and act as a point of contact between HS2 and design and construction teams.
• Coordinate across disciplines to deliver the depot project.
• Provide engineering support across design, construction and commissioning activities.
