TSG Powertek is seeking an ambitious Multi-Utility Business Development Manager to drive growth of our multi-utility and EV offering across Scotland. This hybrid role welcomes candidates in Paisley, Stirling or Dundee areas, with flexibility to visit client sites and offices as needed.

• Collaborate with estimating, design, commercial and operational teams to develop competitive solutions.
• Support tender submissions, client presentations, negotiations and contract awards.
• Provide pipeline forecasting, market intelligence and growth reporting to senior management.
• Coordinate handover of opportunities from BD into design, commercial and delivery.

About the role:

TSG Powertek is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Multi-Utility Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our multi-utility and EV offering across Scotland.

This is a flexible hybrid role and due to several office locations we welcome applications from candidates based in or around the Paisley, Stirling and Dundee areas.

What you'll do:

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across electricity, gas, water and EV infrastructure. You will build strong relationships with housebuilders, developers, charge point operators (CPOs), consultants and infrastructure clients, working closely with our estimating, design and operational teams to convert opportunities into successful project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, develop and secure new multi-utility and EV opportunities throughout Scotland.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with housebuilders, developers, CPOs, consultants and infrastructure clients.

Generate, manage and develop a robust pipeline of prospects, tenders and secured work.

Deliver agreed growth objectives through proactive business development and account management.

Work collaboratively with estimating, design, commercial and operational teams to develop competitive solutions.

Support tender submissions, client presentations, commercial negotiations and contract awards.

Provide accurate pipeline forecasting, market intelligence and business growth reporting to senior management.

Coordinate effective handover of secured opportunities from business development into design, commercial and operational delivery.

Represent TSG Powertek professionally at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities

About you:

You have proven business development experience within the utilities, infrastructure or residential development sector, ideally with a strong knowledge and understanding of the Scottish housebuilding market. To be immediately effective you will have measurable track record of developing client relationships and securing new business opportunities. We believe the following skills and attributes will deliver the foundation for your success in this role:

Skills and experience:

Essential:

Established network of contacts within the Scottish housing, development and/or infrastructure sectors.

Good understanding of electricity, gas and water infrastructure and the commercial considerations associated with multi-utility projects.

Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand client requirements and develop commercially viable opportunities.

Ability to work collaboratively across estimating, design, commercial and operational functions.

Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

Experience working for a Multi-Utility Provider, ICP, IDNO or utility contractor.

Knowledge of NERS, GIRS and WIRS accreditation frameworks.

Understanding of contestable utility works, network adoption processes and associated industry stakeholders.

Experience of EV infrastructure or charge point operator (CPO) projects

Working Pattern:

• Flexible Hybrid (Combination of WFH, office and client based visits)
• Office Locations: TSG Powertek has several office locations, we are open to applications for the following locations: Paisley, Dundee and Stirling.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation:

• Base Salary (circa): £45,000 - £55,000
• Bonus (performance related, percentage based on sales achieved)
