Skilled Careers in Hastings, East Sussex is seeking an experienced Social Housing Multi Trader to deliver responsive repairs across social housing properties in Hastings and nearby areas. The role requires multi-trade skills, good fault-finding, and delivering high-quality workmanship with a strong customer focus.

You will work independently with a company van, fuel card and a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus the security of a permanent, full-time position and 23 days holiday + bank

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trader, Multi-Skilled Operative or Maintenance Operative.
• Experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within social housing or domestic properties.
• Competent in a range of multi-trade skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry, plastering and tiling.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and general maintenance within occupied social housing properties.
• Completing a variety of multi-trade repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, patch plastering, tiling and general maintenance.
• Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repair solutions.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements.
• Providing a professional and friendly service to tenants and residents.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Managing daily workloads and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
• Working independently while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Housing Multi Trader to join our team, carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Hastings and the surrounding areas.

• Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and capable of working independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
